Game of Thrones Season 1 Episode 8 recap in all languages

In "The Pointy End," the eighth episode of the first season of Game of Thrones, several key events take place that further the overall plot of the series.

In King's Landing, Sansa Stark, Eddard's daughter, is taken prisoner by the Lannisters after Eddard's arrest for treason. She is held in the Red Keep and is visited by Queen Cersei Lannister, who tries to persuade her to plead for her father's mercy. Sansa remains loyal to her father and refuses to cooperate.

Meanwhile, Arya Stark, Eddard's youngest daughter, escapes King's Landing with the help of Yoren, a member of the Night's Watch. She is disguised as a boy and joins a group of recruits bound for the Wall.

In the North, Robb Stark, Eddard's eldest son, is declared the King in the North by his bannermen after his father's arrest. He sends Theon Greyjoy, his childhood friend, to seek an alliance with his father, Balon Greyjoy, the King of the Iron Islands.

In the Riverlands, Robb continues to lead his army against House Lannister in response to their capture of his father. He wins several battles and begins to gain the support of other houses.

In the East, Drogo's wound from his fight with Mago becomes infected and Daenerys, Drogo's wife, seeks the help of a healer, Mirri Maz Duur to save him. However, Mirri reveals that she is a follower of the Lord of Light and that she will only save Drogo if Daenerys agrees to let her perform a blood magic ritual. The ritual causes Drogo to fall into a coma and Daenerys loses her unborn child.

In the Night's Watch, Jon Snow and his comrades are captured by the wildlings, led by Mance Rayder, the King-Beyond-the-Wall. Jon is taken to see Mance, who reveals that he is gathering an army to march on the Night's Watch and the Seven Kingdoms.

In summary, "The Pointy End" establishes the power struggles and secrets that drive much of the series. It also sets up several key conflicts and alliances that will play out in later episodes. The episode also showcases the brutal nature of the world of Game of Thrones, with the death of Drogo and Daenerys' unborn child serving as a reminder of the high stakes and ruthless tactics used by those vying for power.
